Already planning curtains ...

... for the living room and dining room, even though it'll be ages before we go there. Anyway, am working on a new idea - I like the thought of banded curtains - I'd buy some like this:


And then a third of the way down sew on a band of this:


Or maybe this:


Or something like this:


And then the bottom third would be this:


So the curtains would look something like this (bad mock-up image - looks much better in my head!):


Then I'd make a little table runner for the side table, using this:
