Tooting my own horn

I cut my family's hair. Although I complain about it ("What, not again?! I just cut your hair, like, yesterday!" *whine, whine*) I do it because I'm too cheap frugal to refuse and send Grant and the boys to the barber. By cutting Grant's hair alone we save about £120 (around $250) a year - add the two boys and you can see why I do it myself.

I'm quite proud of the fact that I've never had a haircutting lesson, never watched a how-to video or read an instructional book. I just wing it.

I cut their hair dry - it helps me to see how it falls naturally as I cut it, so I can immediately correct any unevenness.

A good pair of clippers is invaluable - we prefer Wahl brand.

How handsome!!! (The flash caught his hair funny - it isn't really that uneven!) Daniel was in the shower, he didn't stick around long enough to have his picture taken.
