1) Fill your slow cooker (Crockpot) with warm water.
2) Throw in any combination of the following, according to taste: cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, orange slices, apple slices, pine needles, vanilla pods, mint, any other herbs or spices.
3) Leave to simmer (with the lid off) on high all day. It slightly humidifies the air and makes your home smell gorgeous in a natural way - no artificial, chemical scents. Just make sure to check the water level and top up as needed.

I do this same thing but with a small pot on my stove on simmer. My mom used to do it all the time growing up and I loved the smell of cinnamon everywhere. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea. I will remember that, especially during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try that this weekend to help get me in the Christmas Spirit while I write our cards. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good I will have to try it. Thanks.
