If you're really struggling to drill a hole in a piece of metal and you've tried starting off with a smaller bit but it still won't make a hole, and you're applying lots of pressure and drilling and drilling and still no luck, here's a tip you can try.
Put the drill in forward instead of reverse. No really, try it. It works.
