The other day I made chocolate cake but for some reason it didn't cook in the time specified so when I opened the oven it fell. I had made two layers and we ate the one (it was okay - kinda dense like brownies.) Today I used the other to make bread pudding. It turned out quite yummy - you can't beat cake and custard, which is basically what it was.

3 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups evaporated milk
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Mix all ingredients together and pour over the cake (which has been chopped into pieces.) Bake in 180 degree Celcius (325 F) oven for about 40 minutes.
