Capturing a memory

Sure, this picture is nothing special - my apron hanging on the drawer in the background and the dishwasher open; Noah (half clothed as usual) pulling a funny face ...

... but I reached for my camera on that sunny morning for a reason. To capture a memory of my baby feeding himself his breakfast, so carefully over the bowl with a tea towel placed underneath it (by himself) to catch any errant drips of milk (and yet, if you look carefully, there's one on his side anyway) ...

... the curve of his little back. His tiny toes peeking out from underneath his tiny bottom. The pyjama bottoms folded over because they're too big, the label forming a little tail ...

... his cheeks still round with baby chub, his beautiful long lashes. The shape of his mouth as he so earnestly tells me something about his cereal, pointing for emphasis.

My sweet baby is growing up too fast. *sniff, sniff*
