Where do you get all your decorating inspiration?
I've been meaning to answer this for ages but it entailed
1) uninterrupted time to go through all of my links and
2) brain power
I've been lacking in both lately! Today I have the former (not sure about the latter) so we'll see how this goes.
On my computer I have a folder of over 1,400 pictures of interiors (or details in a room) that inspire me and it's growing. I always save pictures that I like and often browse through them. If I am wanting to make my bed look cosy, I'll learn how by studying pictures of bedrooms that I've found. I'll look at how many pillows they have, how they've placed them, what they have draped over their beds, how they've layered colours. If I have open shelving to dress, I'll do the same. In this way, anyone can learn interior design even if you don't have a natural eye.
