Award

Jennie over at Jenerbug - Queen of Crafty Ambitions has so kindly awarded me this:

I'm so flattered!! Thanks, Jennie!

The tag accompanying this award is to tell you about five of my addictions.

1) The internet in general. If I want to know anything I can find it out in a few clicks. If I am reading a book and they mention a flower or animal and I want to know what it looks like, Google image search is my friend. But that's using it as a tool ... as an addiction, I am rewarded with plenty of lovely things to read or look at at any given time, so I really have to curb the addiction and limit my computer time. It's so easy to get sucked in!

2) Carbs - especially now. The cravings can be overpowering! I usually just give in *sigh* I have far too little self-control.

3) Hugging and kissing my kids and smelling them. Does that sound weird? I just love how they each have their own special scent and they are so delicious. I love to kiss their cheeks with loud smacking kisses so I can almost taste their scent, and snuggle in their necks. Okay now I sound far too weird ... but I know you mamas out there know what I'm talking about!

4) Baking. Every time I resolve to stop baking so that there are no tempting goodies in the house I find a reason that I have to bake again. We have guests coming ... or Daniel needs goodies for his lunch box ... or I have some overripe bananas that need to be used ... or it's a really cold day and the oven will make it cosy in the kitchen ... or next week is going to be really busy so I should take the time now to bake and freeze some things ... you see what I mean?

5) Napping. I loooooooove a good long cosy nap. None of these "forty winks" or "power naps" - what nonsense. For me a proper nap means pyjamas on, curtains closed, phone ringer off and I'm out like a light for ... I'm almost ashamed to say two hours. With Grant's random shifts and days off I get to indulge in my napping addiction deliciously often. In return he gets to lie in in the morning (I'm a morning person and he so is not). Hmm, maybe that's why we are like ships passing in the night some weeks!! Oh, his other reward is a more rested and sane wife. You know the saying "if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy"? Well, this Mama's a lot happier with enough sleep. Unfortunately, for me "enough" is "a lot".

Okay, I can't remember who I have and haven't tagged from my previous tags, and I don't want to offend anyone by leaving them out so I'm going with the cop-out of: if I've ever commented on your blog, then know I enjoyed it so this award and tag applies to you!
