More details on the bookcase

Katie asked for more details on how the doors were hung and strip attached. I just used the standard hinges that you get with the kitchen doors and like I said below, just drilled new holes into the bookcase to attach them:



As you can see, I didn't paint the inside of the doors - I wanted them hung as soon as possible. I can always paint them later ... or actually I've been toying with the idea of a funky wallpaper or something. How fun would that be! (Except we all know I will never get around to it!)

Attaching the strip: I just used three screws. I was going to counter-sink the screws and fill the holes but then I thought, "Screw it (pun intended), it's going to be inside and nobody will see," and just did pilot holes and then popped a screw in. Simple.
