Royal icing

I have been wanting to try sugar cookies with royal icing for a while. Today I finally had a go. Unfortunately, I used ready-made royal icing as it was cheap at Home Bargains. I say "unfortunately" because it was very thick and didn't settle smoothly. Oh well. I would say "I'll try again" but I probably won't. It isn't difficult but it is fiddly and repetitive and I was losing patience by the time I finished.

Don't you love how even when I bake cookies I am still doing cupcakes!
