Filling an icing bag

I've seen the tip about filling an icing bag by putting it into a tall drinking glass and folding the edges down but that doesn't work for me. I don't know if it's because my glasses aren't the right size, or because I use large piping bags, or because I'm doing it wrong.

So I had to come up with my own method. And I did, and it works great so I thought I would share it with you.

I have one of these cheap metal paper-towel-roll holders:

I just fold the edges of the icing bag down and clip it to the paper-towel-roll holder with a peg (clothes pin).

So easy to fill it now!

  1. I always had issues with filling icing bags too! But then my sister in law sent me this video and I can't get over how easy it is. I love how easy it is to clean up, to switch colours, etc.
