5 random questions

Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: When I was a child we had a few movies on video tape that we watched on repeat; The Neverending Story, Annie and The Sound of Music are the ones I remember. To this day I absolutely adore The Sound of Music - the actors, the music, the story line, the decor and the clothes. Love it. When I'm sick I sometimes lie on the couch and watch The Sound of Music - it's like comfort food. I also love Clueless (I'm shallow, what can I say!) and Titanic.

Q: If you got to choose a superpower, what would it be?
A: Teleporting. Absolutely, hands down, without a doubt. Just imagine being able to zap from one place to another. I do think, to prevent laziness, there should be a distance requirement - you can only teleport if the place you are going to is more than, say, a quarter of a mile away. No teleporting upstairs or next door to chat to your neighbour.

Q: Would you ever consider plastic surgery for yourself? What would you have done?
A: If this question is addressing regular choice rather than, say, reconstructive surgery after an accident then the answer would be no. I don't think the risks and pain would be worth it. Having said that, I am not against plastic surgery for anyone else, I'm answering purely for myself - there's nothing that bothers me enough to overcome the fear (but believe me, I have some weird / unattractive things about my body that could do with a bit of a nip and tuck!) I think the furthest I would go would be a chemical peel.

Q: What was your best subject in school?
A: English and Typing. I remember telling everyone that computers were the future and touch typing would be a very desirable skill. I was right. As far as English goes, I still cringe when people break certain grammar and spelling rules (even though I don't always use correct grammar myself.) "Comprised of"? Mixing up "your" and "you're"? Or, my cousin's personal pet peeve, "Hence why"? *shudder* Please just ... don't.

Q: Did you have any nicknames growing up? What were they?
A: I can't believe I am sharing this. My dad called me Porky, Porks or, most usually, Chopsy (as in, pork chop). What can I say - I was a fat baby. (The nickname wasn't cruel as a child / teen as I was skinny.) My dear friend Leith used to call me Jeffiner which got shortened to Jeff - she still calls me that.
