Leith's visit 6

Thursday 16th August (part 1): We kept the boys out of school, hired an 8-seater car (ours only seats 7 and there are 8 of us) and set off at about 8:30am. We drove to Hobbiton and took the tour to see where parts of Lord of the Rings was filmed - we also got a peek at some of the new structures built for The Hobbit films:































































































We all enjoyed the tour but we were pretty tired afterwards. A picnic lunch eaten in the car on the way to our next destination was followed by a nap for some of us.
