We have a house!

There are very few rentals available in Pukekohe, not enough to meet demand, and there are usually a number of prospective tenants wanting each one. Normal procedure here is to submit your application, then the agency runs checks on you, then all applicants who have passed the checks are given to the landlord to choose from.

We went to see a house on Wednesday. Yesterday morning we submitted our application form and within an hour the agent phoned us to say the landlord wanted to offer the house to us. It helped that it's the same agency that we currently rent through, so they know we are good tenants.

So we are moving into our new place on the 6th and have be out of this one on the 8th!

It's an older house and it's further from the boys' school so I'll be driving them to and from school every day. It has a very weird layout inside but I think overall it will be a great place to stay. Here are a few photos from the listing:
