Kitchen / dining room / office

The first of the new house pictures, as much requested :) Mor to follow, I promise ... when I get to them.

The kitchen is at the end of a passage (hallway) and this is what you see through the doorway when approaching:

The view from the office end of the dining room:

View from the window - the white door leads to a little enclosed porch area with storage, door to the laundry, and our bedroom:

We have a cosy wood-burning stove which will be awesome in winter:

  2. Wow! You got things whipped into shape quickly. A very pretty kitchen. It that a 'cool green' color? I really like it. And it looks like these rooms are filled with light.

  3. Moving day photos are keeping it real, love it.

For some reason this place looks so much more YOU than your first NZ home. I'm not sure if it's the charm, but it kind of reminds me of your last home in the UK. So excited to see how you decorate, it already looks nice.

And yes, wood burning stoves are so cozy!

  4. Wow, Jen! We moved 12 years ago and still have stuff in boxes - my "boys" won't let me throw things out. After seeing how quickly you unpack and organise I think I'm just going to put them in the bin the day before it's emptied.
Love the colour of that kitchen. And lovely big windows with so much light.
