1) We went to the beach with our friends on the weekend, just showing them the neighbourhood. It was super windy and a bit chilly and overcast - really not beach weather. Noah was miserable and I picked him up and cuddled him, trying to protect him from the wind. He dolefully declared, "We forgot to not go to the beach today."
2) Today I was using alcohol to clean some ballpoint pen marks off furniture. Noah gleefully declared, "I made those marks when my pen went off the paper!"
Grumpily, I said, "If I were you, I wouldn't be so cheerful about it."
He looked at me for a second and then coldly replied, "If I were you, I wouldn't sleep in a small bed. I'd sleep in a big bed."
All I could say was, "Well I do sleep in a big bed, so that's okay then." ?!?! Odd child.
