Yesterday I took one and hauled out the two white feather boas I've had forever and wrapped the boas around the wreath form. I didn't glue or pin them, just tucked the ends under. I added a length of turquoise ribbon and stuck it to the mirror in the studio with a thumb tack. Voila - my el-cheapo feather wreath!

How cool...........you are just so clever! I once did a bunch of wreaths where I cut squares with a pinking shears and stuffed it into a straw wreath with a phillips screwdriver. But that was years and years ago.
ReplyDeleteThat is perfect! We have a pink boa...don't think that'll be as nice!
ReplyDeletei LOVE it!

This is really beautiful..!! Thanks for sharing.. :)
ReplyDeleteVery chick. I was considering doing something similar (but in black) for our twilight party, now I'm thinking I may have to.
ReplyDeleteThis looks great and super easy to make!
ReplyDeleteSo so cute!! I didn't think you could buy ANYTHING in the UK for 10p!! WOoo Whoo!!
ReplyDeletePS If it dosen't "needed" the bow...I'd nix it!!
ReplyDeleteSo smart! I love the blue ribbon you used to hang it. I grabbed a white feathered wreath from my grocery store 3 years ago. I love it. It has such a whimsical feeling to it. Just one question, my wreath comes our at Christmas, have you started decorating for Christmas already? Yikes!
ReplyDeletetake care,
Lisa

I can't imagine why you had feather boas lying about, but what a fabulous use for them. It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI saw white feathered boas at the dollar store and I was going to do this exact thing. But when I went back to get them, they weren't there. Boo. Love yours btw. :-)
ReplyDeleteAHA! Sorry not stalking but just had to look back! Damn we don't have a B&Q near us! What a bargain - I'm definitely going to look out for a wreath to have a go at a purple one of these! Yum!
ReplyDeletep.s - I prolly am stalking now as have started following you ;)
