I've been thinking far too much about the new house ... dreaming about what we'd do if money were no object (ha! That's what makes it a dream.)
Grant is thrilled to be moving to a house that is in immaculate condition and needs no work and doesn't want to do a thing. I am thrilled at the condition of the house too, but can't wait to put little touches of us into it. I see the creamy walls as blank canvases ... a little colour won't go amiss and a few touches of artwork, soft furnishings, etc are what makes a home cosy.
Although the standard of the finish in the house is exquisite the current owners have installed the cheapest bathroom suites, radiators, taps, etc and I would love to do some upgrades as and when we have a ltitle extra money (oh how we laughed!! I slay me.)
Anyway, I've been thinking and planning and dreaming and the next few posts are some of my ideas for the house.
