I popped down to the charity shops today as the weather was good and I needed to find something to wear to my friend Rachel's 1940's themed birthday party at the end of the month. I was pleased to find this suit which, although not strictly 40's, is a classic style that I can hopefully accessorise with seamed stockings, 40's style shoes I already have, and victory rolls (if I can get them right). I can't afford a 1940's costume that I'll never wear again:
Only £9.99 ($13.74)! The suit fits perfectly and is a delicious raspberry red shade which I can mix and match with other items. It perfectly matches this as-new cardigan I got there too for £3.29 ($4.52):
Another as-new cardigan (I live in cardigans just about every day of the year) which was £3.99 ($5.49).
At another shop I got this winter coat for £7.99 ($10.99):
But the bargain of the day? This wooden toy garage for Noah:
Check out the price sticker:
But did I pay £3.00? On no, my friends. No, I did not. The shop was having a half price sale and I got this baby for £1.50 (that's $2.06).
Am I the bargain queen, or what?!
