Photography hibernation

You may have noticed that I haven't been doing much photography for pleasure lately. There's a simple reason for that: winter.

Winter in England means very little light. My photographs always end up either blurry (due to slow shutter speed) or very grainy (due to high ISO) or both. My fastest lens is f/2.8 which just isn't fast enough and although Canon has a reputation for excellent performance at high ISO, my cameras are obviously rebels or something because they suck at anything over ISO 200. And these photos below? I had to bump up to ISO 1600 to get a decent shutter speed at f/2.8. So yeah, that's why I don't bother lately, I just get frustrated.
