The windows of our house (like most NZ houses) are single-glazed. So when we have a heater going indoors and it's cold out there is often condensation on the windows. (They have tracks at the bottom with weep-holes to drain the moisture.)
A few weeks ago Noah found it fun to drive his car on the sliding glass door, leaving tracks in the condensation.
Has anyone mentioned the mould yet? Sigh. No one told me when we moved to Sydney and halfway through our second winter I started to notice these black dots on the ceiling in our bedroom, above the windows. To cut a long story short, it grew, I nearabout died when I realised what it was and scrubbed the whole room, I found out its very normal and someone suggested I look at our clothes and sure enough, mould and mildew on our least worn clothes. We now use moisture absorbing granules in containers in all our cupboards and I throw open the windows as often as possible during the winter despite the cold!
